We are thrilled to announce Intro Akino two-month solo exhibition titled “Dreams Whizin” which will be held at WHIZ CAFE.
In addition to the exhibit "Storage Device" which is made up of a large number of small works that fill the entire wall of the WHIZ CAFE, which is over 5 meters high,
As a standalone work, "a couple of, trusts each other'' and as a new attempt at a small-sized work, "Because you, still have to take a shot.''
Intro AKINO will exhibit a number of new works, including "Coffee that won't give you a break'' and "Wine that won't let you relax", which incorporate the concept of spending time at a restaurant.
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?-Edgar Allan Poe
What we see and what we feel Is this all just a dream within a dream?
Edgar Allan Poe “A Dream Within A Dream”
Intro AKINO continues to express the fragility and warmth of the deceit that people continue to live as humans.
People can live because they have dreams.
This is what I felt strongly from the attitude of Yumeto Aramoto, the founder of WHIZ CAFE.
This attitude may seem dangerous at times.
Legendary American novelist Edgar Allan Poe
In his last poem, “A Dream Within A Dream”,
He cried out the pain of thinking that a life filled with joy and living a dream is just an illusion after all.
Long ago, the Chinese thinker Zhuangzi said you can’t know whether your life is real or illusion, but
Either way, you should accept your life and love it in the "Dream of the Butterfly”, Zhungzi’s poet.
Japanese writer Edogawa Ranpo was strongly influenced by Alan Poe.
He likes the words, “The world is a dream, the dreams of the night are the truth.''
It leaves behind a message that can be seen as the essence of humanity in
certain destructive parts that deviate from thought and reason.
Zhuangzi, Ranpo, and Alan Poe all used "dreams" as a strong motif in their philosophy.
In all of them, it seems that the charm of dreams and the sinisterness that can sway people are manifested.
Trying to live as an artist in this modern era
Continuing the highly competitive food service industry
Trying to continue expressing yourself by borrowing some form
Even with this way of life, regret may await you in the end, just as Alan Poe cried out.
However, Intro AKINO is the one who lives this way.
Intro AKINO can't doubt that he feel like his true self.
Where are we dreaming within?
Being able to recognize a dream as a dream means that you have not forgotten the reality that is not a dream.
Or, as Alan Poe lamented, are there no boundaries and our dreams are all illusions?
We, who are released from a bow and are destined to stop someday, where will we head as we cut through the sky?
Maybe this whizzing sound that splits the sky is the brightness of our lives.
